Sherrie Mazur is a communications professional with more than 15 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. Serving as Senior V.P. of Communications and Public Affairs, Mazur first joined the V Foundation for Cancer Research in 2008 as Director of Marketing and Communications.
During her tenure at the V Foundation, Mazur has managed a broad scope of efforts such as a comprehensive website revitalization, communications needs for high profile signature events, community fundraising initiatives, an organization-wide 20-year anniversary celebration, celebrity and board engagement and outreach, company-wide intern program management and strategic public relations. Mazur co-lead a brand re-ignition initiative, and currently oversees all external communications for the V Foundation.
Prior to joining the V Foundation, Mazur served for five years at ISA, a nonprofit leader in services for automation professionals. She provided marketing and communications services and established a program for young adults entering the field of automation (YAP Fest.) She later joined the leadership team for the marketing department. Mazur began her career in the communications department of Turner Broadcasting at CNN.
Mazur earned her B.B.A. degree with an emphasis in Marketing at Middle Tennessee State University in 1997, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
Mazur currently resides in Cary, North Carolina with her sports broadcasting husband, Joe, and her daughter, Roxana. She recently completed her second marathon to benefit the V Foundation.
