Hooters initiated “Give A Hoot” in 2013; since then, this cause-marketing program has occurred every October. Funds are designated for breast cancer research and clinical trial outreach in honor of Kelly Jo Dowd, a Hooters waitress who passed away from the disease.
“Give a Hoot” generates donations through calendar sales, special drinks sales, pink wristband sales and donations added to checks.
“Give a Hoot” has proudly raised over $1.5 million since 2013.
