Kay Yow Continues to Inspire Hope

The Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund Dedicated to Finding a Cure for Women’s Cancers

We’re so proud of our partnership with the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund. Founded by Kay Yow, former NCSU head women’s basketball coach who lost her battle against breast cancer, the Fund is dedicated to raising money for scientific research focused on women’s cancers. This partnership is especially special and unique for us because of the friendship between Jim Valvano and Kay Yow. Since the inception of the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund® in December 2007, more than $1.7 million has been raised for cancer research. Learn more.

Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic a Great Success!

Professional athletes, sports broadcasters and actors and actresses alike flocked to Raleigh to pull their talents together in support of the 16th Annual Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic. In making its highly anticipated return to Raleigh, the Golf Classic attracted over 11,000 people to NC State University’s new Lonnie Poole Golf Course. The University’s ROTC opened the tournament with a presentation of the colors, and course designer and golf legend Arnold Palmer made the first swing of tournament with an amazing inaugural tee shot.
