Host an Event
The V Foundation invites you to join the fight against cancer by hosting an event. By serving as an event planner, you can organize and coordinate a local fundraiser to raise money for The V Foundation. No donation is too small and 100 percent of all net event proceeds, regardless of size, funds cancer research.
Hosting an Event for The V Foundation is as easy as 1, 2, 3:
- Fill out the Event Registration Form completely and email or fax it to The V Foundation at email@example.com or 919-380-0025.
- If you would like to use The V Foundation Logo, please include your event budget with your Event Registration Form. A license agreement will be emailed or faxed to you for your signature and shortly after our logo will be shared with you. See Logo Information for more details.
After your event, immediately mail donations to 106 Towerview Court, Cary NC 27513 so your supporters can be promptly acknowledged.
You can also easily set-up your own First Giving fundraising page and send the link to your friends and family so they can support you. All donations through this site come directly to The V Foundation.First Giving
While our mission states that our goal is to raise money for cancer research, a dollar amount is not the only measure of the success of your fundraising for The V Foundation. Success can be characterized by the awareness the event creates, the fundraising it achieves and the additional opportunities it presents for its participants and community to get involved with The V Foundation. All three objectives play vital roles in helping us raise money to fund cancer research. We appreciate every effort on every level and we look forward to working with you.
The V Foundation appreciates your support and time involved in creating an event to benefit cancer research. It is passionate people like you and your community members that will help The V Foundation win the fight against cancer.
The V Foundation will provide the following (pending availability):
Palm Cards can be provided to an event for sharing with particpants, sponsors and volunteers the mission and work of The V Foundation. They will be mailed to you approximately two weeks prior to your event.
The event will be posted on the website, www.jimmyv.org under the Community Events section.
The V Foundation regrets it is limited in the following areas:
The V Foundation does not have the capacity to provide items for auctions.
The V Foundation does not solicit celebrity appearances from its board members or contacts.
The V Foundation does not keep a volunteer database for event’s use.
The V Foundation cannot send a representative to an event due to the limited number of staff.
