![]() The 5th Annual Jimmy V Racquets for Research tennis tournament will gather together tennis enthusiasts from around the Triangle for a chance to play with the pros on an unforgettable day of fun and philanthropy. This event is unique in that all players regardless of their level of play, get hands on instruction from the pros in the clinic, and then get to immediately apply the lessons learned playing other doubles teams of equal ability.
2001 men’s doubles Wimbledon champion, and Collegiate Tennis Hall of Fame inductee, Don Johnson returns as celebrity host to share his skills with you.
Celebrity Host Don Johnson Funds from The Jimmy V Racquets for Research go directly to fund local cancer research. The V Foundation has awarded cancer research grants to 92 institutions in 38 states and the District of Columbia since it’s inception in 1993. Since 1994, The V Foundation has awarded $8.7 million in research grants in the state of North Carolina. The V Foundation is proud to support local cancer facilities, joining forces with top cancer research center and scientists to eradicate cancer both here at home and nationwide. Cost per doubles team is $200, which includes an event t-shirt, breakfast, lunch, and a gift bag for each participant. EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT: REGISTER BY AUGUST 1st AND PAY ONLY $180 PER DOUBLES TEAM. Players must be 16 years of age or older. Jimmy V Racquets for Research includes a Pro Am Division where each team will be divided and matched up with a pro for competition.
