Jimmy V Men's Basketball Classic

ESPN presents the Jimmy V Men’s Basketball Classic, which will once again showcase four of the nation’s elite collegiate teams on Tuesday, December 8th at Madison Square Garden in New York City.  Both games will be broadcast on ESPN starting at 7:00 PM.  The Classic culminates ESPN’s annual “V Week” festivities.

Tickets for the Jimmy V Men’s Basketball Classic traditionally go on sale to the general public in mid-September.  Tickets can be purchased at the Madison Square Garden Box Office, or through Ticketmaster (866-448-7849).  Please note, Ticketmaster carries no information about the event until the day that tickets actively go on sale.

Fans who sign up for the Madison Square Garden sports newsletter at www.thegarden.com will receive pre-sale notice and an opportunity to purchase Classic tickets prior to the sale to the general public.

Many of college basketball’s top teams have competed in The Jimmy V Basketball Classic since its inception in 1995.  The first seven Jimmy V Classics were played at the Meadowlands Arena in New Jersey.  In 2002 the event moved to Madison Square Garden in New York City, where it remains (see link below for Classic history of teams and scores).
