Pamela Valvano was the wife of the late legendary basketball coach Jim Valvano and is the mother of their three daughters, Nicole, Jamie and LeeAnn. Born and raised in New York, she married Jim after he graduated from Rutgers University and they eventually made their home together in North Carolina.
She is currently living in Cary, N.C., where she serves as the chairwoman of The V Foundation for Cancer Research. She also sits on the Board of Directors of The Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic. She married John Strasser in October 2003.
