Lesley Visser is a broadcaster for CBS Sports and contributes to The NFL Today, college basketball, figure skating and U.S. Open Tennis Championships. Long considered a pioneer among sports journalists, Visser has had many historic accomplishments in the world of sports: first woman reporter to cover the World Series, first female NFL beat writer, first woman sideline reporter at the Super Bowl and first female member of ABC's Monday Night Football. In 1983, Visser was voted the Outstanding Women's Sportswriter in America, and in 1992 won the Women's Sports Foundation Award for Journalism and the first AWSM (Association for Women in Sports Media) Pioneer Award. |
