For this memorable event, we’ll be pairing every foursome with a celebrity. Some exciting names expected to participate are: Mike Cheever (Former NFL and Georgia Tech player), Larry Conley (College Basketball Analyst ESPN), Paul Johnson (GA Tech Head Football Coach), and many others.
Join us to help The V Foundation fund a cancer research grant in Atlanta. May will be here before we know it! Click here to find out more or to register.
You can call it whatever you wish. Some say it’s a movement others have labeled it a call to action but “One Team. One Cause.” seeks to inspire people around the globe to help The V Foundation battle cancer.
What would you do if you knew you couldn’t fail? This question is central to “One Team. One Cause.” We cannot fail. It’s going to take all of us to beat cancer. With your help, The V Foundation is ensuring success in the fight.
Everyone knows someone who’s been touched by cancer. Who do you know? What would you give to stop the pain this disease causes? Would you give $10? $15? Spread the word. Join the team.
With brackets causing a frenzy in homes and offices nationwide, this is one of the most exciting times of the year!
We’re so pleased to announce some great news: we’ve partnered with the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) to help us capitalize on the excitement and attention that this time of year brings.
Papa John’s Pizza is generously supporting The V Foundation during this wonderful time of year by creating the “Coaches Code Challenge.” From March 16 – April 6th when the code “beatcancer” is used for any order of an XL, two topping Papa John’s pizza at PapaJohns.com, a $1.00 donation will be made to The V Foundation! I am excited to say that after the program expenses are covered, 100% of this donation will fund essential cancer research.
So please order online with Papa John’s with “beatcancer” as your code. Enjoying pizza AND making a difference in the fight against cancer; now that’s a winning combination!
Applebee’s promotion of The V Foundation through the March Madness fundraiser is well underway! Applebee’s is selling paper basketballs for a $1 minimum donation to The V Foundation. Support your favorite team AND cancer research.
Fifty-one restaurants in the Apple Gold Group, franchisee of Applebee’s restaurants in North Carolina, Oklahoma and Arkansas, are participating in this unique fundraiser.
Show your support for your favorite team by purchasing a basketball at participating Applebee’s locations. Donating to a great cause has never been this fun (or delicious!).
The weather has warmed, the birds are chirping and March has finally arrived. That can only mean one thing… college basketball tournament season is upon us! The conference tournaments are getting cranked up and the teams are making their final efforts to be included in that field of 65. The frenzy of this season is unrivaled, as Coach Valvano’s Wolfpack demonstrated in 1983, and the players, coaches, and fans are all waiting with baited breath to get started!
During this maddening time, help show your rival just whose fans are the best by hosting a Show Your Spirit event. Set the party up at your office and everyone who donates 5 dollars will be able to wear their teams gear on your designated day. Show Your Spirit runs from March 18 to April 6 and offers a great opportunity to beat your rival and beat cancer. The deadline for signing up is quickly approaching though, so don’t miss out! Get all the info at www.jimmyv.org/showyourspirit.

Take a second and think of a type of cancer that has touched you. There’s a very good chance that The V Foundation has funded research specifically for that cancer type. While larger amounts have certainly gone to some of the most deadly and common cancers, such as lung cancer and leukemia, grants have been issued to fund cancers across the board. A small sampling would include colon, cervical, and pancreatic cancer but would not exclude Ewing’s Sarcoma or breast and prostate cancer.
True to Jim’s final wish, we want to find a cure for all cancers. That means that funding all types of cancer research is necessary. That means that funding cancer research across the board isn’t only a desire of ours, rather, it’s essential to The V Foundation’s call to action.
March is upon us and that means its time to Show Your Spirit! Registration is easy and only cost $5. With this minimum donation you can sport your teams gear during your business’ designated day and prove just who has college basketball’s greatest fans. Just follow these 4 easy steps to make your Show Your Spirit day as successful as possible.

Once again Applebee’s is teaming up with The V Foundation for a great March Madness fundraiser! Applebee’s will be selling paper basketballs for a $1 donation to The V Foundation. The promotion will be happening in 51 different locations. Go show that pesky neighbor whose team is actually superior and donate to cancer research at the same time.
Last year Applebee’s managed to raise $128,000 and this year they’re shooting for even more. Help them make this goal a reality by supporting the restaurant and supporting The V Foundation.
